  11. LW is made by NewTek.  NewTek's "famous" product was the Video Toaster.
  12. It's an Amiga specific, 4 input digital switcher for video.  Up til about
  13. a year and a half ago it was in it's own league as far as video quality /
  14. price is concerned.  Today there are more Video Toaster style computer
  15. switchers for all sorts of platforms.

  17. It originally shipped with the Switcher program (obviously, since it's a
  18. switcher), a paint program, a character generator, and a 3d graphics
  19. program (called Lightwave).  It was marketed for the small time video
  20. professional (or "videographers").
